Rossetts saddle-up for charity bike ride

Team Rossetts were out in full force this month as we saddled-up to take part in a 22 mile bike ride for Multiple Sclerosis Centre Sussex. Around 30 riders came together for the event, 7 of which came from Rossetts commercials. Along with canine team mascot Herbert - our 3 year old border terrier.
The goal was to ride from Shoreham airport on the downs link to Slinfold village hall.  Approximately 22 miles.  The team from Rossetts was made up by:
Ross Court, Ross White, Jason Morris, Ken Rae, Mike Winder, Josh Symmonds and Martin Gearing.
The start of the ride proved to be quite wet, luckily we had some pretty fit guys who put the pedal to the metal and sped up to Slinfold. As well as riding the event, Team Rossetts provided logistics in the form of a Vito and a Sprinter van to help get bicycles back to Shoreham after the ride was completed.
While some riders were chasing glory, others in the team took a more leisurely approach – little Herbert was in no mood to race up the track and he enjoyed the extra attention and fuss provided by onlookers and riders alike.
All eight members of the team made it safely to the finish line and enjoyed some well deserved food and drink (kindly provided by the Sussex MS staff) before embarking on the ride home in the immaculate Mercedes-Benz vans.
At this moment in time the fundraising by Team Rossetts has cleared over £1000 with gift aid included and it looks like a combined target from all riders on the day is set to bring in around £5000 in funds for the treatment centre.  A fantastic result all round.
